Munster claimed top spot in the Guinness PRO12 championship on the final day of the regular season with a resounding win over reigning champions Connacht.

Their victory at Thomond Park, coupled with Leinster's defeat away to Ulster at Kingspan Stadium, means they finish top of the table at the end of the regular season.

Leo Cullen's side will have to settle for second, but will still enjoy home comforts during the play-offs. They'll face Scarlets at the RDS Arena on Friday May 19 at 7.45pm.

Rassie Erasmus' Muster will welcome Ospreys to Thomond Park a day later, with kick-off in Limerick at 6.15pm.

Both games will be televised on Sky Sports and TG4.

This season's final will take place at the Aviva Stadium on May 27.
