Connacht have returned to the top of the Guinness Pro 12 table after a 30-23 win at Edinburgh.

Pat Lam's side raced into a 14-0 lead thanks to first half tries from AJ MacGinty and Jake Heenan.

Edinburgh closed the gap thanks to a try from Chris Dean on 43 minutes, but Connacht re-established their lead when Bundee Aki went over two minutes later.

A Cornell du Preez try and Sam Hidalgo-Clyne penalties kept Connacht on their toes but Eoin McKeon's try eight minutes from time proved the difference for the Irish province.

Ulster had a simple win over Zebre, winning 32-0 at Ravenhill.

Two Nick Williams tries in the first half and second half efforts from Peter Browne and Paul Marshall proved the difference for Ulster as they coasted through with the addition of kicks from Paddy Jackson.
