Harry Kane commits to Tottenham after signing six-year contract extension

Harry Kane has ended speculation regarding his future in North London by signing a new six-year contract extension with the club.

The England striker, who scored six goals in 10 appearances for Tottenham this season, has committed his future to the club where he made his breakthrough.

"It's amazing, everyon knows how I feel about this team and what I feel for this club," the 23-year-old told the club's official website.

"To sign another contract is a special feeling. We have got a great young squad and the club is moving in the right direction."

"I feel I'm at a stage in my life and career where it's time to take that next step. I'm starting a family now which I'm really excited for and now it's all about working harder every day to progress and to maintain my level.

"I'll keep learning from the players and the gaffer here. That's all I'm focused on."

Kane has just returned from an ankle injury and reportedly becomes one of the best paid players in the Premier League, with rumours that he has signed a £100,000-per-week contract.

He was one of four Spurs players named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for 2015-16 and joins Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, and Dele Alli among others to sign new contract extensions.
