Has this season's Premier League season offered us a vision of the future?

Arguably for the first time since "football was invented" in 1992 with the birth of the Premier League, the club scene is about to undergo a sea change.

Leicester City have already caused a major ripple but the new TV €6.5 billion deal which comes into force next season has the potential to have a seismic effect on not just top flight football across the water.

With even the smallest clubs in the Premier League set to acquire vast wealth to surpass the vast majority of the illustrious names on the continent, the effects will also be negative.

On this week's Team 33, 2012 Irish sports journalist of the year Ewan MacKenna joined us to review what has already been a remarkable season in its own right but also delved into the direction we are heading from next season and beyond as Premier League clubs prepare for a windfall.

So are we likely to see more surprise champions and what effect will it have on European football?
