It was a satisfactory night for Leinster and Connacht as both teams picked up wins in the Guinness Pro 12.
Leinster managed a narrow 19-15 home triumph over Scarlets as Ian Madigan's four penalties and a conversion proved crucial.
Two first half tries from Hadleigh Parkes and Gareth Owen had put Leinster in danger, but Madigan's kicking and a Mike Ross try just after half-time helped swing the game back in favour of Leo Cullen's side, who managed to hang on for the win.

Meanwhile, Connacht enjoyed a 33-19 win over Treviso at the Sportsground tonight as the defeat for Scarlets allowed Pat Lam's side to go top of the Pro 12.
Connacht led at half-time thanks to three Craig Ronaldson penalties to leave the scores at 9-5 as Jayden Hayward got a try for the away side.
Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw, who was named at full-back for this match, then scored a try two minutes after the break to stretch the lead.
However, Hayward would notch another try five minutes later to put Treviso back in contention.
But Tom McCartney's 52nd minute try helped Connacht reestablish control and Matt Healy added another effort five minutes from time.
Edoardo Gori scored a consolation try for Treviso in the closing stages.
