Everything you need to know to make it through a packed Saturday of sport

Every now and then, a great sporting day comes along that features a packed calendar, from football to UFC. This Saturday is one of those days.

There are big matches in England, Spain and Germany in football as well as New Zealand's revenge trip to Dublin on one of the busiest Saturdays of sport for quite a while.

Rugby:

Ireland Women v Canada Women, IRFU youtube channel - kick-off 14.00

Ireland go into the match on the back of last weekend's narrow 12-10 loss to England. This impressive Canadian outfit finished runner up at the last World Cup. The teams won't meet in the pool stages of next year's world cup, but could face-off further down the line.

Italy v South Africa, BT Sport 2 - kick-off 14.00.

Wales v Japan, BBC 1 - kick-off 14.30.

England v Fiji, Sky Sports 2 - kick-off 14.30.

Scotland v Argentina BBC 2 - kick-off 17.00.

Ireland v New Zealand, RTE 2/Sky Sports - kick-off 17.30.

New Zealand will be smarting from the Chicago defeat, and will be fully loaded for the rematch with the return of Brodie Retallick and Sam Whitelock. Ireland meanwhile, are going for back-to-back wins over the world champions

With a special panel live from the Aviva Stadium, Off the Ball will capture all the excitement in the build up to another famous match in this rivalry from 1pm.

France v Australia, Eir Sport 2 - kick-off 20.00.

Football:

Manchester United v Arsenal, Sky Sports 1 - kick-off 12.30.

José Mourinho and Arsene Wenger renew hostilities in the early kickoff, although the pressure is firmly on the Man United manager. Arsenal are six points clear of their rivals, and a win will only add to the turmoil at Old Trafford.

Kevin Kilbane and the Off the Ball team will dissect the action on air in the wake of one of the biggest fixtures this season.

Southampton v Liverpool, Sky Sports 5 - kick-off 15.00

Liverpool go into the weekend top of the pile and there certainly is a feel good factor around Anfield. Their last visit to Southampton wasn't so successful though, and they were sent packing 3-2 last March.

Tottenham v West Ham, BT Sport 1 - kick-off 17.30.

Unbeaten Spurs welcome London rivals West Ham to White Hart Lane looking to pick up a win after drawing their last four. The Hammers are a point above the relegation zone and could do with a win as well.

Borrussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich, BT Sport 2 - kick-off 17.30.

Champions Bayern travel to Dortmund with a six point cushion over Thomas Tuchel's side, but will need to win to give themselves a bit of breathing space from surprise contenders RB Leipzig

Atlético Madrid v Real Madrid - Sky Sports 5 - kick-off 19.45.

The home side go into the game six points behind their illustrious rivals, but lost 2-0 to Real Sociedad in their last game. Real top the table, and go into the match on a four game win streak.

We'll have coverage on Newstalk Sport on Twitter throughout the evening.
