Hoo's been 'dropped' (and immediately recalled) for Ireland?

Martin O'Neill has named a provisional 35-man squad for Ireland's upcoming Euro 2016 Group D qualifier against Poland in Dublin.

A mix-up, which saw journalists given a Wes Hoolahan-less squad list at this morning's press conference, was corrected when O'Neill verified that the Norwich man is included for the March 29 fixture at the Aviva Stadium.

Bournemouth's in-form midfielder Harry Arter has also been called up by Ireland for the first time.

“We have reached a very important time in our qualifying campaign," said O'Neill. "I am looking forward to assembling the squad for the first time this year in preparation for this game.”
