How have Norwich City transformed in a year under Alex Neil?

This time last year, Norwich were in seventh place in The Championship when Alex Neil took charge of the side. They now lie in 15th place in the Premier League after gaining promotion under the Scottish manager.

Daniel Brigham from The Little Yellow Bird Project spoke to Off the Ball last night about Neil's first year in charge after writing about an eventful 12 months last week.

Brigham wrote in the article that the 33-year-old succeeded Neil Adams with the help of a metric used by the club which named Neil as the 35th best manager in the World. Neil has guided Hamilton Academical to third place in the Scottish Premiership when he left the club.

He became popular with the fans almost immediately after joining the club. Brigham told Off the Ball, that in a league game against Bournemouth, Neil came down to the touchline in the second half after originally only having a watching brief after arriving at the club.

The Canaries have won three of their last four games, including a win in Old Trafford against Manchester United, which has seen them pull away from the relegation zone. They lie six points outside the relegation zone.

"He's got that mixture of someone who is incredibly terrifying, but someone who is incredibly warm as well... He's got that proper x-factor of a leader, that you really want to play for him, but you really dont want to say the wrong thing in his company."

Norwich's next game is home to Manchester City in the FA Cup Third Round on Saturday.
