It was another historical occasion for Irish rugby last night when Munster defeated the Maori All Blacks in front of a home crowd.
Tries from Niall Scannell, Darren Sweetnam and Ronan O'Mahony propelled the Irish province to victory over the visitors to cap off a superb week for Irish rugby against New Zealand representatives. Given the soggy weather conditions and the fact that this was a Munster side without a number of their first string players who are on duty for the national side this weekend, makes the win even more remarkable.
And the Maori All Blacks head coach humbly pointed out their inferiority against an inspired Munster side. Speaking to Gavin Cummiskey of the Irish Times, Colin Cooper complimented Munster for their stirring display and even compared their style of rugby to what he's use to seeing at home.

"They played really good footie. We have been really impressed with the whole set up here in Munster, with the locals and with how knowledgeable they are and how rugby passionate. I thought I was in New Zealand...I can see why a lot of Maori boys want to come play over here. Their culture is the same as our culture."
