"I don't really think about it" - Holly Holm remains coy on a rematch with Ronda Rousey

Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm remains tight-lipped over a potential rematch against Ronda Rousey after her return to the sport on December 30.

Rousey will have her chance to win back her bantamweight title when she takes on Amanda Nunes, her first fight since her defeat to Holm in November 2015.

The former Olympian was handed her first defeat in the UFC following a vicious head-kick knockout and opted to take a year away from the sport. In this time the 135lbs title has changed hands twice, after Miesha Tate defeated Holm. Tate was then submitted by Nunes at UFC 200.

Speaking to the press last weekend, she said isn't looking for a rematch with Rousey just yet.

"I don't really think about it because there's a lot that has to happen," she said. "People ask 'hey, don't you want to rematch Ronda?' and I tell them that there's still a fight taking place on December 30 and February 11.

"Depending how both of those go, that could be the make or break of everything, who knows what could happen in three months."

Holm was then asked to give her prediction of how she saw the Nunes/Rousey fighting turning out and whether or not she would consider taking a champion vs. champion bout if she reclaimed her bantamweight strap.

"Anybody can win in this game. We're all fighting against the top fighters in the world and anything could happen. Everybody is just a person. Anybody can be beaten. I don't really give a lot of predictions, but I do think it's going to depend on what Ronda we see.

"She's an Olympic athlete and she's been at the top of women's MMA. She didn't get there without having some kind of competitive spirit. She's had a bit of time off and people have questioned a lot of things about it. You never know what will happen, it's a wildcard."
