"I get fined more than these bums get paid" - Conor McGregor will pay €135,000 for press conference fracas

Conor McGregor issued a succinct response following his €135,000 fine and 50 hours of community service from the Nevada Athletic Commission.

The UFC featherweight champion was cited for his involvement in a fracas at the UFC 202 press conference in August, which saw his throw bottles and cans at opponent Nate Diaz as the Stockton fighter walked out behind reporters and spectators.

The fine amounts to just 5 percent of his UFC 202 purse and he will also have to complete community service.

McGregor apologized for his role in the incident, claiming he was acting erratically (as per MMAFighting.com).

The 27-year-old then took to Twitter to address the fine and did so with a succinct one-line tweet.

"I get fined more than these bums get paid," he wrote and now continues his preparation for his lightweight title fight against Eddie Alvarez in November.

Rumours had circulated yesterday that McGregor had been knocked out cold during his training camp, but coach John Kavanagh took to social media to dispel any such rumours.

McGregor headlines the the UFC's historic card at Madison Square Garden next month, which will feature two other title fights for the welterweight and women's stawweight belts.
