Joe Schmidt has hinted that he is close to making a decision on his long-term future as Ireland head coach.
The New Zealander's contract was extended last year until June 2017 and earlier this year, he had revealed that he will make a decision about his future beyond that after the upcoming tour to South Africa.
"I just have to report in with my Mum at home after the tour. I'll have a final chat with her, I don't know who's been tipping off my kids but they're all bullying me at the moment," he joked at today's press conference.
"It's one of those things that probably hasn't taken up a lot of my time recently. I just think you don't get many opportunities to go to a place like South Africa. We've never won there. We're incredibly motivated to be as competitive as we can be and it's also an incredible opportunity to invest in some of the players that haven't had a lot of opportunity with us before, even through seeing how they travel, how they train, how they can turn up on what will be a very physical and a very loud stadia. They're going to have to demonstrate that they can deal with the pressure of all that."
