The reigning champions take control of the title race

Dundalk have restored their four point lead at the top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.

The defending champions defeated title rivals Cork City 2-1 at Oriel Park, with Man of-the Match Daryl Horgan responsible for both of the goals for the home side.

Dundalk held a 2-0 lead after 36 minutes but Cork did pull one back on 56 minutes when Mark O'Sullivan found the net.
