Ireland got their Six Nations defence off to a perfect start as they brushed aside the Welsh challenge at Donnybrook on Saturday afternoon.
Tries from Sene Naoupu and Sophie Spene put Ireland into a 15-3 lead before captain Niamh Briggs tacked on another two penalties.
Naoupu's opening try electrified the crowd at Donnybrook, as her searing break set Ieland on their way.
