Joe Schmidt will be without 11 senior players for this summer's test series in the United States and Japan.

In total, four Irish backs and seven forwards have been selected in Warren Gatland's touring squad which will be captained again by Wales' Sam Warburton.

Seven of Ireland's tourists will be debutants, with only Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray, Sean O'Brien and Rory Best having travelled four years ago.
