Ireland's Daniel Martin finished fourth in the second stage of the Tour de France.

Slovakia's Peter Sagan has taken the race leader's yellow jersey from Britain's Mark Cavendish, who won the first stage.

Title holder Chris Froome finished tenth, which puts the Team Sky racer fifth overall.

Today's result means Martin, who rides for the Etixx-Quick Step team, is 10th in the General Classification, 14 seconds off the lead.
