Ireland's Jonny Hayes set for Celtic move

Ireland winger Jonny Hayes is heading for Celtic.

It has been reported that a deal between the Scottish champions and his club Aberdeen has been agreed.

The transfer will see Ryan Christie move to Aberdeen on a season-long loan.

According to the Scottish Daily Record, the fee for Hayes will stand in the region of £1.3 million (€1.48 million).

Hayes was the only non-Celtic player nominated for PFA Scotland Player of the Season for 2016-17.

The Dubliner was one of the main creative forces for Aberdeen during a campaign which saw the club finish second in both the Scottish Premiership, the domestic cup and League Cup.

Hayes (29) scored 11 goals and managed 24 assists for Aberdeen in all competitions last season.

Internationally, Hayes has won for Ireland caps, recently featuring in the 3-1 win over Uruguay at Aviva Stadium in an friendly fixture.
