Ireland's Sommer Lecky claimed a silver medal in the high jump at the U-20 World Athletics Championship in Finland.
The Tyrone athlete passed the 1.90m bar in the final which beat her previous personal best by 5 centimeters, a new national record.
Lecky told Irish Athletics that it was her mindset that helped make her career best jump.
"I knew I could jump it, if I just told my mind I could jump it. I can. It hasn't even sunk in. I don't know what to think,' said the 17-year-old

17-year-old Lecky finished second to Bulgaria’s Karyna Taranda in Tampere earlier this afternoon.
The medal is Ireland's second podium finish in two days after the 4 x 100m Women's relay team claimed silver in yesterday's final. Lack said she took huge inspiration from her team mates success.

The high jumper becomes the first female to win an individual medal underage World Championship medal for her country, since Ciara Mageean in the 1500m back in 2010.
