Irish Floorball teams take centre stage at Special Olympics Winter Games

As Team Ireland prepare to make their mark at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games, 20 of the 26 members of the team will be competing in the Floorball competitions.

Newstalk's Henry McKean is in Austria for the Games and has been getting a taste of the atmosphere and team preparations.

The first Floorball Round-Robin games began this Monday in Graz.

The next Round-Robin games are scheduled for Tuesday in the Austrian city, with the finals to follow on Wednesday.

Speaking on Newstalk Drive, Henry explained: "The Floorball which is a little like ice hockey is taking place. Team Ireland has two teams and it’s proving very competitive."
