Ireland's Gabriel Dossen and Michael Nevin have had to settle for bronze at the World Youth Championships in St. Petersburg.

Dossen lost his semi final to his Russian opponent while Portlaoise's Nevin was beaten by Scottish fighter William Hutchison.

Sergei Margarian beat Dossen by split decision to advance to the final at the expense of the Irishman.

Two of the judges went in Dossen's favour but three went for the home favourite.

Nevin's defeat was more comprehensive as all five judges went in Hutchison's favour.
