Irish fans will be checking their bank balance tomorrow morning to see if they got Euro 2016 tickets

With UEFA announcing that they are ready to process payments for Euro 2016 tickets, Irish fans will be checking their bank accounts in the morning to see if their orders have been accepted.

More than 275,000 ticket applications were received for Ireland's group games against Sweden, Belgium and Italy but only 32,502 are available.

Ireland are believed to be among the top five countries in terms of ticket demand and the highest volume of ticket requests recorded, were for Ireland's group opener against Sweden.

An FAI statement this evening reads:

"From tomorrow morning, UEFA plan to start taking payments from successful Euro 2016 ticket applications.

"We would like to advise all applicants to check with your bank that there are sufficient funds on your credit/debit card, or to raise the credit limit per transaction accordingly.

"If you have agreed to accept tickets in other categories, this may increase the total amount to be paid for your tickets. All applicants will be informed of their final status by 29 February at the latest.
