The AIBA bantamweight world champion posted on Twitter over recent days that he was travelling to Las Vegas
Michael Conlan may be following in the footsteps of Paddy Barnes by announcing he is going to turn professional in the coming days.
According to reports this afternoon, Conlan may be on the verge of signing a professional deal with Mayweather Promotions.
The AIBA bantamweight world champion posted on social media over the last few days to say that he was travelling to Las Vegas. Following his controversial defeat to Vladimir Nikitin during the Olympic Games, he said he would never fight for the AIBA during an expletive-laden rant on RTE.
IrishBoxing.com today report that the Belfast boxer has travelled Cosmopolitan Casino for the Mayweather Promotions show this weekend.
According to "sources", Golden Boy and Top Rank have also expressed an interest in signing Conlan, while Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing is another viable option which would be closer to home for the Clonard fighter.
