"It would be a full-blown crisis" - Leinster's must-win task against Bath previewed

This weekend the Champions Cup continues with Leinster looking to bounce back from a chastening loss to Wasps in a must-win game against Bath - which will be live on Off The Ball - while Munster will try to make it two wins from two when they visit Stade Francais.

Former Ireland captain Keith Wood and Irish Times rugby correspondent Gerry Thornley have given their takes on both teams ahead of this weekend's action:

Munster

Reacting to last week's win over Treviso with an eye to Sunday, Keith said: "For them, I think they need to have their tempo higher, their intensity higher because they will not get away with some of the things. But having said that, they did play the conditions pretty well [against Treviso]."

Leinster

Gerry emphasised the importance of Leinster avoiding defeat to Bath on Saturday.

"It would be a full-blown crisis [if they lose]," he said. "There's no doubt about it. If an organisation like Leinster were two defeats down with the minor matter of Toulon back-to-back coming up in December, well they're looking fairly snookered aren't they and that would be so early in the season in November. It would be a very a damaging blow for the organisation on a number of levels."

Listen to the full preview on the second half of the podcast player above. Dave McIntyre, Liam Toland and Keith Wood are live from The Rec on Saturday for live Off The Ball coverage of the Leinster game.
