James McClean is clearly enjoying his former team's predicament

James McClean is not the type of player you want to mess with on social media. 

The Derry native seems to be fearless online, has does not hold back. That includes turning his focus on former teams and fans. 

West Brom were in action last weekend against Sunderland. The game finished scoreless, and afterwards Sunderland's Lamine Kone seemed to make the cardinal error of singling out McClean after the game. 

 

We deserved better (again) yesterday. But we finally did a clean sheet. 🔴⚪️ By the way, who is James McClean? 🤔👻

McClean is not a player to hold back either on of off the pitch. He responded quickly to Kone on Instagram about a clash between the players during the two in the final 20 minutes of the game.

The 26-year-old made sure to have the final word, after getting some backlash from Sunderland fans, the same fans who previously idolised the Irish international only three years ago. 

McClean seems to be enjoying Sunderland's position at the moment, if his later post was anything to go by.
