Jamie Carragher laid the blame on Liverpool's Europa League capitulation solely on one player

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher pulled no punches last night as he put particular blame on Liverpool's 3-1 loss to Sevilla on Alberto Moreno.

The former Sevilla defender has not his best game for the team, and was at particular fault for Sevilla's equalising goal. Kevin Gamerio scored for Sevilla within 20 seconds of the start of the second half, after trailing 1-0 at half-time.

Carragher took to twitter to say that the team should sign a "f**king left back" as the game entered its last minutes.

The loss is Liverpool's second in a row in European finals. In 2007, the then-Rafa Bentitez managed team lost 2-1 to AC Milan in Athens. The loss is also Klopp's fifth cup final defeat in a row.

Sevilla's 3-1 win also ensured their spot in next season's Champions League. Liverpool needed to win the competition to play in Europe next season.

The last season when Liverpool didn't play in Europe, the finished second in the Premier League, only two points behind Manchester City. A positive omen for next season perhaps?
