Leinster overturned a 30-6 drumming they suffered against Ulster a few weeks back, with a roaring performance in the Pro12 semi-final, to atone for the loss.
Second half tries from Sean Cronin and Jamie Heaslip, coupled with a first half try from captain Isa Nacewa, overwhelmed Ulster and ultimately delivered a qualification spot for the Pro12 final in Murrayfield next weekend.
Speaking after the game last night, Irish international Jamie Heaslip said that the significance of the occasion was enough motivation to inspire his side to victory. He also used a key phrase from the MMA film 'Warrior,' to illustrate Leinster's intense mentality.
"You either move or die. You will not beat a side like Ulster if you don't bring tempo or intent to the game. We never got too carried away (with defeat in Ravenhill), there was stuff we had to work on. We never get too carried away with wins or losses."
And on the matter of doubt, Heaslip insists that no such thing could be found in the Leinster dressing room.
"If there's any doubt, it wasn't in our changing room and if I had seen any doubt in anyone's eyes, I would have told them to get out of the changing room. There's no place there, when you get to this stage of the competition, you've got to have utter most confidence without getting cocky."
Meanwhile, Ulster director of rugby Les Kiss lamented that his charges lacked the organisation to handle the Leinster revival.
"We knew they'd be a different beast. They won the crucial 50/50's, particularly in the first 20 or 30 minutes. Most of their season, they've been willing to put the hand up and fight back. We just weren't organised enough."
