Jordi Murphy has been ruled out for at least six months after sustaining a torn ACL injury during Ireland's famous test victory over New Zealand.

His enforced absence is a blow for Joe Schmidt but on the positive side, six players have been added to the squad ahead of their upcoming fixture against Canada. Connacht's Niyi Adeolokun and Tiernan O'Halloran have both been given the nod along with Dave Kilcoyne, Jack O'Donoghue and Darren Sweetnam of Munster. Leinster's Dan Leavy has also received a call-up to bolster the 39-man panel.

Ireland face Canada in the Aviva Stadium this Saturday.
