Anthony Joshua and Vladimir Klitschko's heavyweight title fight in Wembley is set to be one of the biggest boxing events on 2017.
Joshua, a 2012 Olympic champion, defends his IBF heavyweight title. The vacant WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight titles will also be up for grabs.
The WBA have confirmed that the Wembley date forms one part of the association's plans to have a single heavyweight champion. The winner of the Joshua-Klitschko fight will defend their belt against Cuban Luis Ortiz.
While the Super heavyweight title is up for grabs at Wembley, the WBA also have a regular belt too. Shannon Briggs and Fres Oquendo are to fight for that belt, with the winner facing Russia's Alexander Ustinov.
It is hoped that after those four fights are completed, that the two champions will fight each other to try an unify the WBA heavyweight title.
"After a lot of thinking, we thought that the condition to the winner of Joshua and Klitschko - two boxers that deserve to fight for a 'super' championship - will get to fight Ortiz," WBA president Gilberto Mendoza told Sky Sports.
"On the other side, you have Briggs fighting Oquendo and the winner will fight Ustinov. At some point in time, I will have the two winners of those two brackets facing each other in order to have one champion."
While the plan to create one champion from the WBA is admirable, it shows the problems facing boxing, as six fights may be needed to unify one association's belt.
