It looks like Anthony Joshua will defend his IBF heavyweight title against former champion Vladimir Klitschko in December.
Klitschko is coming off a loss against Tyson Fury. As the rematch has been postponed, the Ukrainian is in need of an opponent.
Unbeaten in 17 professional fights, Joshua is coming off a TKO victory over Dominic Breazeale in June. The Briton has stopped all of his opponents but will face a significant step up in class when he faces off against the former heavyweight champion.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, promoter Eddie Hearn said: "The deal between the fighters is there. The financial terms are agreed, there was a problem with US broadcasters but that has been sorted."
"It is now a case of getting the paperwork and the sanctioning in order. Hopefully in a couple of days we will have the official announcement," he added.
The fight will most likely take place at the 21,000 capacity Manchester Arena.
Last week, Tyson Fury relinquised his WBO and WBA belts after his boxing licence was suspended. He tested positive for cocaine which he said he used to battle bipolar disorder.
