Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge on Monday night for the second time as Manchester United manager.

Despite the 1-0 loss, the result was still an improvement on the 4-0 defeat Mourinho's side suffered in the Premier League in October.

On Monday night, the Portuguese manager was widely jeered by Chelsea's fans despite to successful periods with the club. He led them to three Premier League titles, along with three League Cups and an FA Cup. At point point he even held up three fingers to the crowd, symbolising the three league titles he won, the third coming as recently as 2015.

After the loss, Mourinho said he was not annoyed by the treatment received from certain quarters of the Stamford Bridge crowd.

"The fans can call me what they want," the 54-year-old revealed. "I am a professional. I defend my club. Until the moment [Chelsea] have a manager that wins four Premier Leagues for them, I’m the number one. When they have somebody who wins four Premier Leagues for them, I’ll be number two."

"For this moment, Judas is number one."

Mourinho is still waiting for his first win against Chelsea, as Manchester United manager. He will get a third opportunity to do so on April 16th, in their second Premier League match of the season.
