Jurgen Klopp won't be bringing Joe Hart to Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the prospect of trying to sign goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City.

The England international is on loan at Italian top flight side Torino this season after becoming surplus to requirements after Pep Guardiola took charge at Man City.

With Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero ahead of him in the current pecking order at City, it is thought Hart's Premier League club want to sell him in the summer window.

Anfield had been suggested as a possible destination with question marks over both of Liverpool's goalkeepers.

But Klopp says he is happy with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, who have both had runs at No 1 this season, with the latter currently deputising for the Belgian who has been restored to first team status.

"He is a fantastic goalkeeper, the goalkeeper of the English national team,so highest quality. But we have highest-quality goalkeepers. It is not for us in this moment and hopefully not in the future – not because of Joe but because we already have two strong goalkeepers," said Klopp.

Hart himself has publicly stated that he doesn't see a way back at City whilst Guardiola is in charge, recently telling the BBC that, "I'd say I'm pretty much surplus to requirements at my parent club at the moment. I have got to be realistic. I love that club and I have always said, as long as they want me, I will be there."
