Europe beckons again for League of Ireland clubs and this week's draw will have result in mixed reactions from supporters up and down the country.
Last year's Europa League heroes Dundalk have been handed a tough draw in the Champions League. Stephen Kenny's side will take on Scandinavian giants, Rosenborg.
The Norwegian club have won their domestic league title for the last two years in succession, but Dundalk know all about a tough qualifying campaign. To make the Europa League group stages in 2016, they had to overcome BATE Borisov and fell just short against Legia Warsaw.
Premier Division leaders Cork City, meanwhile, will face Levadia Tallinn of Estonia and Shamrock Rovers will take on Stjarnan of Iceland.
Derry City have been handed the toughest draw of the Irish sides in the Europa League, they'll face Danish side FC Midtjylland.
Speaking on this week's Newstalk SSE Airtricity League Podcast, former Shelbourne, Waterford and Longford defender Kevin Doherty gave his thoughts on the draw.
"From Rosenborg's point of view, I think they would have been certainly looking to avoid Dundalk," he said. "There were definitely other teams on the side of that draw that they would have preferred to have gotten.
"From Dundalk's point of view, they know that Rosenborg are a big club. In recent years they might have dropped off a little- albeit they've won two doubles in a row. It's tough draw for both sides."
