Kevin Doyle marked his return to action with an excellent finish for the Colorado Rapids having not played since the end of last month.

The former Reading striker picked up a nasty injury while on international duty for Ireland in March but came back with a bang as Colorado Rapids beat Seattle Sounders 3-1.

Netting his sides third, Doyle showed a deft touch to direct a whipped cross goalwards to polish off a fine performance.

Holding an outside chance of making Martin O'Neill's 23 man squad for the Euros, if he keeps the goals coming who's to say that we won't see Doyle in action in France over the Summer.
