Kevin Doyle scores late in Colorado Rapids' win

They beat Colombus Crew 2-1

Republic of Ireland international Kevin Doyle scored late on as his Colorado Rapids side beat the Colombus Crew 2-1.

Dederico Higuin had given the away side the lead in the 61st minute before the home side fought back late on.

First, Ireland's Doyle tapped in from close range after good build-up play from Marlon Hairston in the 80th minute.

It was the Irishman's third goal of the season of the season.

The home side capped off the comeback when Alan Gordon headed in at the back post from a Joshua Gatt in the 86th minute.

Colorado are still bottom in the Western Conference with 13 points from 13 games while the Colombus Crew drop to fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
