Klay Thompson scores 60 POINTS for Golden State in less than three quarters

Kevin Durant's arrival at Golden State Warriors before the start of the season looked like it was going to lessen the impact of Klay Thompson with the team. On Monday night, Thompson showed how important he remains to the team.

The Olympic champion scored 60 points in the first three quarters of Golden State's 142-106 win over the Indiana Pacers. The 2015 Champions are now 18-3 for the season.

Thompson is the first player this season to hit the magical 60-point mark. He made the career-high feat in only 29 minutes and is only the seventh player, to score more than 50 points in two games for the Warriors. Steph Curry has done so on seven occasions, but has failed to reach the 60-point mark.

Such was Thompson's dominance on Monday night, even his teammate were in awe at what they were seeing. Thompson became the first player to score 60 in a game in the NBA, since Kobe Bryant did so in his last game with the LA Lakers at the end of last season.

The Warriors return to the court on Wednesday night when they travel to LA to play the Clippers. Thompson will hope to hit half of the form he did, against the Pacers.
