LOI Round-up: Cork City beat Bray Wanderers to make it 11 from 11

Cork City's fine start to the season has continued with an 11th from 11 matches in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

John Caulfield's side beat third place Bray Wanderers, who had been in good form, 2-1 at Turner's Cross to extend their lead over both their visitors and reigning champions Dundalk to 12 points after just 11 games of the season.

Sean Maguire, who has been interesting English Championship side Preston North End, scored his ninth league goal of the season to give Cork City the lead.

John Dunleavy made it 2-0 with two minutes to go, before Derek Foran set up a nervous finish when he got a last minute goal for Bray.

Cork City now move 12 points above both Bray and Dundalk.

The latter stay second but lost 2-1 at bottom side Galway United in a surprise result.

Home side Galway took the lead against the reigning champions as Vinny Faherty scored midway through the first half.

But David McMillan levelled for Dundalk 10 minutes later.

But Galway secured their first win of the season as Gary Shanahan scored a 90th minute winner, which still leaves Shane Keegan's side bottom but no longer far adrift of the sides above them.

Shamrock Rovers looked on course for victory at Tallaght Stadium against Limerick but the Munster side also got a 90th minute goal with Rodrigo Tosi netting.

Roberto Lopez had given Rovers a 1-0 lead within 20 minutes of action. Limerick stay fourth while Rovers are sixth.

Derry City fought back twice at home to hold St Patrick's Athletic to a 2-2 draw, as both sides stay 5th and 11th in the table respectively.

Ronan Curtis and Aaron McEneff got the Candystripe goals, while Kurtis Byrne and Conan Byrne scored for Pats.

Bohemians put some space between themselves and the bottom three as they beat 10 man Finn Harps 2-0 at Dalymount Park.

A Damien McNulty own goal and Oscar Brennan goal gave Bohs all three points as Barry Molloy was sent off for the away side.

Meanwhile, Sligo Rovers battled back at Drogheda United to secure a 1-1 draw with Jonah Ayunga cancelling out Gareth McCaffrey's opener for the home side.
