Latest injury report on Robbie Brady will leave Irish fans feeling relieved

Robbie is not likely to be sidelined for too long after limping off in a club game over the weekend.

Brady was substituted after just 12 minutes of Norwich City's win over Cardiff City with was later revealed to be a quad injury. Manager Alex Neil says that Brady is a doubt for their next match against Wigan Athletic but insists that the Irish player won't be out of action for long.

Speaking to Norwich City TV he said:

"He's a major doubt for tomorrow, but it's that much better now that he could potentially be in contention. He's a lot better than we thought, which is really positive news. On Sunday, we had some concerns over him, but it was mainly where he got the knock rather than the extent of the knock. I think it was just a little bit of nerve damage, it seems to have settled down really quickly."

The injury report indicates that Robbie should be fit for selection ahead of Ireland's next World Cup qualifier against Georgia on Thursday October 6th. This leaves Brady with a number of opportunities to reclaim his match fitness, with five Sky Bet Championship matches and a League Cup tie against Everton coming up before then.
