Leinster bolster backroom team with new recruit

Leinster have made a key addition to their backroom team.

The province have announced the appointment of Charlie Higgins as their new Head of Athletic Performance.

The 43-year-old, joins Leinster from Super Rugby side Western Force, replaces Dan Tobin who moved to Gloucester Rugby this summer.

"This is a hugely important appointment and I am delighted that Charlie has decided to join us in Leinster. It is no easy decision to relocate to another country but he is looking forward to the challenge," Leinster head coach Leo Cullen told the province's website.

Meanwhile Leinster have held an open workout in Greystones, where they were trained under the watchful of former World Cup winning coach Graham Henry, who has joined the province as a special advisor on a short-term contract.
