Leinster say they are hopeful that Cian Healy and Mike Ross will be available to play for them this weekend in the Guinness Pro12.

The two Irish internationals have returned to training this week as they continue their recovery from injury and the province is hoping that they can take part in Friday's clash with Zebre at the RDS.

Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt had hinted that he might recall both Healy and Ross ahead of this week's Six Nations trip to France but Leinster assistant coach Girvan Dempsey is hoping that the front-row pair will get a chance to regain some match sharpness with their province first.

"Depending obviously on what the national coaches and their selection decision is around that, I'd imagine they're wanting those guys to get a bit of game-time prior to that. So the hope is that potentially they're available this week with a view to being back in the mix for national selection," said Dempsey.
