Leipzig back on top in Germany

They beat Schalke 2-1

RB Leipzig returned to the top of the German Bundesliga after a 2-1 over Schalke.

It was the club's eight straight win and puts them three points ahead of champions Bayern Munich at the top of the table.

Goals from Timo Werner and two from Sead Kolasinac at either end gave the hosts a 2-1 win.

Elsewhere Hertha Berlin beqat Wolfsburg 3-2 in a lively affair while Borussia Dortmund beat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-1 to keep pace with the leaders. Dortmund currently sit nine points off the top. 

In Saturday's other fixtures, Leverkusen and Freiburg drew 1-1, Werder Bremen beat Ingolstadt 2-1 and Hoffenheim overcame Koln 4-0. 

 In Sunday's fixtures, Darmstadt entertain Hamburg while Eintracht Frankfurt travel to Ausburg.
