Louth's Ryan Burns latest to be hit with 12-week ban

Louth's Ryan Burns is the latest recipient of a 12-week ban.

The Hunterstown Rovers forward had the suspension upheld by the Central Hearings Committee (CHC). Burns was found guilty of minor physical interference with an umpire during the Wee County's qualifier loss to Longford last week.

Burns was cited for kicking a ball at an umpire.

While Louth may be out of the Championship, Burns is not allowed take part in any code at any level until the 9 September following the ruling.

Meanwhile, the four participating counties in the Fenway Hurling Classic have been confirmed.

All Ireland champions Tipperary will face Clare, and Dublin will take on Galway in a 'Super 11' format of the game at Boston's Fenway Park.

The games will be played as a double-header on 19 November.

Dublin and Galway took part in the last event at the famous baseball stadium in 2015.
