Mamadou Sakho takes to Snapchat to vent frustrations at being frozen out by Jurgen Klopp

Mamadou Sakho's falling out with Jurgen Klopp looks to have taken another twist as the Liverpool defender took to Snapchat to hit out at the "lie" being told by the club about why he's not playing.

Klopp and Sakho have clearly not been on the best of terms since the French defender was sent home from the pre-season tour in the United States for showing a "lack of respect" and breaking a number of team rules.

Sakho has not appeared for Liverpool yet this season, and turned down the chance to move away from the club on loan before the end of the transfer window.

Earlier this week, Klopp stated that Sakho wasn't playing as he wasn't fit yet, saying: "[He’s] still working on it. He’s closer to everything. He’s still working, but it’s a big difference between match fitness, that’s all.

"It’s not about how the player feels, it’s about how I feel. It needs time, for sure. It makes more sense to really use the time, and that’s what we’re working on."

However, Sakho took to Snapchat to voice his frustration at the treatment he is getting from the club, stating that he has been fit for several weeks and now isn't seeing any time on the pitch.

Stating that he didn't know why he was not being allowed to play for the reserve side, the defender added: "Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want speak on pitch... I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.

"Still happy to live in my 'Liverpool Country' with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always!

"I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support."

The player is unlikely to have changed the manager's mind with this particular tactic, but he is also unlikely to get the match fitness that Klopp claims he needs if he's not getting time on the pitch with the reserves or the U23 side.

Either way, it certainly looks as though Sakho's time at Anfield is over, and he will now have to wait until January to seal a move away from the club.
