Man City and Arsenal incur UEFA fines

Manchester City have been fined €18,000 for fan behaviour and a delayed kick off in their Champions League last-16 match with Monaco last month.

The Premier League side have been punished for a pitch invasion and supporters throwing objects.

Pep Guardiola's side won the game 5-3 but went on to lose the tie on away goals after a 3-1 loss to Monaco in the second leg.

Meanwhile, Man City have also accepted a Football Association misconduct charge over failing to control their players during their Premier League draw with Liverpool last Sunday, which finished 1-1.

It comes after several team members surrounded referee Michael Oliver when he awarded a second half penalty to the visitors.

City's Premier League rivals Arsenal have also been fined €5,000 by UEFA after a supporter ran onto the pitch in their Champions League loss to Bayern Munich. The German side have been fined €3,000.

They were beaten 5-1 in North London earlier this month, to seal a 10-2 aggregate defeat in their last 16 tie.

The next Premier League fixture for City and Arsenal will be against each other following the culmination of the international break.

The clubs will face off on Sunday, April 2nd in a 4pm kick off at the Emirates. City won the reverse tie at the Etihad in a 2-1 result after overturning an early deficit.
