Manny Pacquiao uses jacket lining to hint at Floyd Mayweather Jr. rematch

Manny Pacquiao's highly anticipated bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May 2015 was dubbed 'Fight of the Century', celebrating the coming together of two of the most famous fighters in the sport's history.

The result was decidedly less impressive, with Mayweather triumphing easily via unanimous decision after 12 rounds of tactical point scoring.

Since the fight, there has been talk of a rematch but rumours were quelled after Pacquiao announced his retirement from the sport to pursue a career in politics.

Pacquiao’s retirement was short-lived and returned this month beat Jessie Vargas and reignite his fighting career.

And with his return came whispers, rumours and speculation as to whether the two will ever meet in the ring again. The first fight took only a minute to sell out after just 500 of the tickets went on public sale.

They sold a record 4.6 million pay-per-views and the fighters split estimated revenues of $400m.

The 37-year-old Filipino boxer has once again appeared to seek a similar deal it seems as he slowly stokes the flames of rematch. He's done so, however, in unusual fashion.

Pacquiao has opted to have the lining of his suit jacket emblazoned with images of the pair's last fight and posted the pictures to Instagram to hint that the pair may be in line for another bout.

All signs point to a rematch if a deal can be struck in coming weeks, the two veterans could be taking to the ring in 2017.
