Ireland defender Marc Wilson has taken to Twitter to share his disappointment at being ruled out of Euro 2016.
The versatile left-back and centre-half has contended with injury problems this season and suffered a setback according to manager Martin O'Neill with the recovery length meaning he had no chance of featuring at this summer's championships in France.
Wilson, who also missed out on Euro 2012, took to Twitter to wish the team the best and express his disappointment at not being involved.
Gutted to be out of the euros. Was a long hard road there and I enjoyed every min of it. 🇮🇪 always a proud moment to play for my country
