Former England international Mark Wright joined Nathan this evening on Off the Ball to speak about fostering and his role for England at Italia '90.
Wright was in Dublin to speak ahead of a legends event that take place later this year to raise awareness for fostering in Ireland this October. He will be bringing a team to Dublin that will he full of Liverpool and Manchester United legends.
Speaking about his own role as a foster carer, Wright told Nathan that his wife opened his eyes to fostering when he got married. He feels that he can "raise awareness" through football and his role as a former international.
It is 25 years since England reached the semi finals of the 1990 World Cup. Despite not playing against Ireland, in England's first game, Wright was a mainstay in the side for the rest of the tournament.
The sweeper told Nathan that about his role in the defence with Des Wright and Terry Butcher and mentioned the "great camaraderie" that is still part of the squad even today.
