Irish fighter Ray Moylette has missed out on qualification for the Olympics.

The Mayo boxer was beaten in the quarter-final at this week's qualifying tournament in Venezuela.

Moylette lost in a unanimous points decision against his Armenian opponent Hovhannes Backrov in their light-welterweight encounter, which ends his hopes of clinching a late invite to Rio.
