Manchester United have spent big over the last couple of transfer windows as they looked to improve the squad after the departure of Alex Ferguson, and Memphis Depay was one of their big targets.

The Dutchman made an impact at the World Cup in 2014, but despite that he has struggled to feature in recent weeks under Louis Van Gaal, starting a number of games on the bench.

There's no doubt that he's a talented player however, which is why Manchester United spent big on securing his signature, something which was broken down by a leaked version of the transfer deal agreed between the Old Trafford club and PSV Eindhoven.

According to that document, the Manchester giants will pay €34 million for Depay in three installments - €17 million up front, a further €8.5 million at the end of January 2016, and another €8.5 million which is still to be paid in July of this year.

A number of further clauses were added to the deal which would only be activated if United were to win the Premier League and Champions League, with the maximum that could be paid coming to €4 million.

The contract also shows that Depay signed for four years, with the option of adding another year should he choose to, while PSV will pocket 10% of any potential transfer fee (up to a maximum of €5 million) if he leaves.
