Páirc Uí Chaoimh

The department of Public Expenditure and Reform have sanctioned a  €30 million grant towards the GAA’s  €70 million redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh. This will include a 45,000 seater stadium along with a centre of excellence.

It is expected to create up to 400 jobs and give a massive boost to the local economy.

The allocation of such a large amount of money to a GAA stadium has sparked debate both in Cork and nationally.

Jonathan hit the streets of Cork to find out the public's opinion.

He later spoke to Chairperson of Cork GAA Bob Ryan who supports the change and Dan Boyle from the Green Party, who expressed some concerns.
