Mo Farah medical data leaked in latest Fancy Bears WADA hack

Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah is among eight gold medallists from Great Britain to have their medical data published online by hackers.

Spanish tennis star Rafa Nadal and Olympic golf champion Justin Rose have also had their data leaked.

There is no indication that any of the athletes mentioned are guilty of any wrong-doing.

The latest leak by the Fancy Bears hacking group includes two occasions when distance runner Farah was granted a therapeutic use exemption (TUE), allowing him to take banned substances for verified medical needs.

According to the leaked data, the 33-year-old was cleared for the corticosteroid triamcinolone in October 2008 and placed on a morphine drip after collapsing following a training run in July 2014.

Farah has previously referred to the training collapse - telling journalists in 2015 that it had been the only time he had been granted a TUE.

The latest tranche of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) records released by the hackers also includes data on cyclist Callum Smith, who won silver in the individual sprint in Rio and double Olympic rowing champion Helen Glover.

Other high-profile names listed on the Fancy Bears website on Monday include French fencer Gauthier Grumier and Burundi's 800m silver medallist Francine Niyonsaba.
